I serve as the Coordinator for the Christian Counseling Program at Reformed Theological Seminary (Charlotte). I’m originally a West Coast boy, growing up in rural Washington State before moving to California’s Central Coast early in high school.
I attended The Master’s University in Santa Clarita, CA and gained a degree in business law. I started school telling the Lord that I would do anything besides vocational ministry. By the end, I’d come to see that the joys of such a life greatly outweighed the costs.
I traveled to Louisville, Kentucky to study towards a Master of Divinity degree at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I worked in the Student Life Department for Boyce College (SBTS – Undergraduate School) before becoming a high school and junior high theology teacher back on the Central Coast. My wife Katelyn and I were married in 2013.
Our family continues to grow as the Lord added our first son, Blaise to us in 2015. We live in the Charlotte Metro and worship at Oakhurst Baptist Church where I also serve as a biblical counselor. Our home is rather free-flowing, as we rent rooms to local seminary students and young professionals who add greatly to our joy, hilarity, and fellowship.
I anticipate starting a Ph.D. in Biblical Counseling with eyes towards studying the intersection of presuppositional apologetics and biblical counseling.
